Manufacturers joints

We arrived at a property this week to find a fault on a light fitting which was nearly new

We tested the circuit before the fitting to find everything in order so moved on to inspecting the fitting its self

This was a transformer fed light so our thoughts were that it may be an issue with that

On a visual inspection we could clearly see a heat problem on the joining of the outgoing circuit after the transformer and no heat at the terminals of the transformer

We re terminated the out going ends ad got the light working

A quick and simple fix that didn’t require a replacement light but could have been avoided if the manufacturer hadn’t used screw on terminal joints
